St. Anthony of Padova

This altar was originally dedicated to St Vincent Ferrer until 1933, when the chapel became dedicated to St Anthony of Padova. The painting was painted by Lazzaro Pisani in 1881 and was paid by Antonio Vella whose emblem can be seen on the bottom part of the painting. Lazzaro Pisani painted St Anthony adoring Baby Jesus resting on a table.

There is also a small statue of St Anthony made of wood made in Spain. The paving of this chapel was paid by Family Farrugia as can be seen from the coat of arms in the middle of the chapel.

On the columns facing this altar we can see the 3rd and 4th station of the Via Crucis in a marble frame.
